LWV Annual Position Review
Saturday, January 22 via Zoom
It’s that time of year where we gather and reacquaint ourselves with the policy positions of the League of Women Voters.
Our annual position review is meant to create a sense of League fellowship where we review the LWV’s various policy positions and, if needed, make recommendations for additional study. During odd numbered years, we review state and local positions and even numbered years we look at national policy positions.
Since it is an even numbered year, that means we’ll be talking about everything from the LWVUS’s stance on voting rights and redistricting to arms control, water resources, fair housing, gun policy and more.
To prepare for this gathering, you are strongly encouraged to check out the LWVUS’s policy positions and history in Impact on Issues: A Guide to Public Policy Positions. (Search Tip: Go to lwv.org, scroll to the bottom and click on League Management, then enter “impact on issues” in the search box.) At the minimum, reading pages 1—16 will help make our review time as productive as possible. You should also be on the lookout for meeting materials in your email inbox.
The event will be held via Zoom. Please register in advance for this meeting by clicking on this link.
After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.
